Facility Will Increase Output, Efficiency and Sustainability
HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Axalta Coating Systems (NYSE: AXTA), a leading global supplier of liquid
and powder coatings, announces a modernization project to advance
sustainability at its powder manufacturing center in Houston, Texas.
Anticipated to finish by the end of 2018, the project aligns with
Axalta’s commitment to sustainability and environmentally responsible
manufacturing practices.
Axalta’s plan aims to streamline the powder coating manufacturing
process and will include the installation of latest generation
processing equipment including dosing systems designed to improve
quality and reduce waste, water consumption and cleaning time.
Additional implementation of packaging systems will lead to productivity
improvements. Production throughout the facility will continue at full
capacity during the installation of the new equipment.
