Axalta Coating Systems (NYSE: AXTA), a leading global supplier of liquid
and powder coatings, won the Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI) Golden
award in Six Sigma and 5S categories at the QCFI 27th Annual Convention
held September 18 in Vadodara. QCFI, a national body of professionals
committed to assisting individuals and organizations implement quality
concepts, recognized and awarded Axalta India at the event.

The convention invited more than 190 organizations from across India to
present case studies on quality concepts such as Quality Circle, Lean,
Six Sigma 5S and Kaizen integrated with Total Productive Maintenance or
TPM. Two project teams from Axalta India presented best practices which
included reduction in manufacturing cycle time using Six Sigma
methodology and 5S approach.
