Program Celebrates Body Shops Who Implement Sustainable Practices
GLEN MILLS, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Individuals and businesses are increasingly taking responsibility to
help preserve our future. Recognizing good stewardship is an essential
part of the equation. Today, Axalta Coating Systems, (NYSE: AXTA) a
leading global supplier of liquid and powder coatings, launched the
Axalta Sustainable Star Awards program for body shops who use
sustainable practices. The contest runs until 11:59 p.m. on November 15,
2016. The launch follows Axalta’s recent release of its 2014-2015
Sustainability Report.

The Sustainable Star Awards are open to United States-based Axalta
refinish customers. The Awards recognize body shops who have
demonstrated the positive impact that sustainable initiatives can have
on both the bottom line and the environment. There are two competition
categories. The first category is for body shop owners who own one to
five body shops. The second category is for body shop owners who own six
or more shops.

to do their part to be environmentally-responsible,” said Mike Carr,
Axalta President-North America. “Our Sustainable Star Awards program
seeks to recognize shops that have put in place processes to improve
their cycle times, cut their electrical bills by finding efficiencies,
increased staff training hours, or have taken some other action that
promotes sustainability.”
Award winners will win a trip for two in January 2017 to Axalta’s
Sustainable Star Awards event, and can display the Axalta Sustainable
Star Award logo in their shop, on their website and in promotional
materials. Axalta will also profile the winners and their projects.
