Information Technology Applications Architect, Rob Elkins and Global
Data Manager, Stan Nickle of Axalta Coating Systems (NYSE: AXTA), a
leading global supplier of liquid and powder coatings, presented
Axalta’s innovations in areas concerning global environment, health and
safety (EHS) and quality data management at the 20th Annual EtQ User
Conference held October 10-14 in Nashville, Tennessee. The EtQ User
Conference draws EHS and quality professionals from numerous industries
worldwide to share experiences and learnings using the EtQ Reliance
Software Platform for managing EHS and quality processes and data.

EHS and quality data which helps manage global policy and programs in
EHS and quality systems,” noted Mr. Elkins in describing the advantages

focused on integrating external business intelligence tools with the EtQ
Reliance database to produce powerful visualizations of business data.
Mr. Elkins described how to build tableau data sources based on
identifying desired reporting fields on EtQ Reliance forms with a
detailed understanding of the Reliance database scheme. A demonstration
and real examples were included in the presentation.
Dr. Nickle’s presentation discussed the inherit problems and risks
associated with manual data collection processes for sustainability
reporting. Dr. Nickle then described how the Axalta EHS team was able to
leverage out-of-box capabilities from EtQ Reliance and incorporate new
ideas and enhancements to extend the capabilities of Axalta’s new
sustainability module. In addition, Dr. Nickle shared, “We were able to
design, configure, and launch ten EHS and quality data systems within 20
months by leveraging the EtQ Reliance platform.” The Axalta team also
shared ideas for additional enhancements to the data collection and
reporting process for sustainability. The sustainability module is the
most recent EtQ introduction following a series of successful module
implementations.
