Axalta Coating Systems (NYSE: AXTA), a leading global liquid and powder
coatings supplier, recently conducted the FAW Audi Senior Paint
Technician Certification program for 240 paint technicians. This is the
largest group to date since Axalta and FAW Audi began collaboration to
offer training and certification services in 2011. Technicians from Audi
dealers in China attended the program at Axalta’s Refinish Training
Center (RTC) in its newly-built Asia-Pacific Technology Center, in
Shanghai.

The Axalta-FAW Audi Certification program spans three years of training,
covering beginner to advanced theoretical and practical coating
techniques. The FAW Audi Senior Paint Technician Certification
course is comprised of 24 sessions, with training and examination held
over two days. Eligible participants must complete primary and advanced
paint training prior to attending the course. Those who receive
certification have demonstrated both effective utilization of Axalta
coating products and skilled application of cutting-edge spraying
systems and techniques.
Participants of the course accessed the modern multimedia classrooms,
state-of-the-art trackway spray rooms, prep decks and electronic
intelligent toning system of Axalta’s RTC which has capacity to host
more than 160 technical coating training sessions a year, reaching over
2,000 automotive and industrial customers. Axalta’s expert trainers are
qualified to provide comprehensive training on color matching, body
refinishing, paint troubleshooting, as well as advanced repair of auto
service systems.
